Continental Tractor 70 — a radial agricultural tyre designed for tractors that alternate between fieldwork and road travel. Its construction helps transmit tractive force with minimal slippage, reduces soil compaction, and ensures smoother performance over uneven terrain.
The wide tread surface creates an enlarged contact patch. Load is distributed over a larger area, reducing ground pressure and leaving a flatter tractor footprint. For farm owners, this means less soil compaction while maintaining the tyre's ability to deliver strong traction.
Tall, curved lugs extend from the center towards the shoulders and engage the surface progressively. Their pronounced edges grip the ground firmly, providing confident performance under load. Reduced slippage allows more efficient use of the tractor's tractive power and minimizes disturbance to the topsoil.
The spaces between the lugs are smooth and rounded. This design facilitates the release of clinging soil during tyre rotation and deformation, keeping the tread channels open for longer and preventing working edges from being quickly covered by dirt. As a result, the tread maintains its self-cleaning capability more effectively in the field.
The N.flex radial casing is made from low-shrink, elastic nylon. It adapts to surface irregularities and absorbs impacts, reducing vibration on rough roads and in the field. The material tends to return to its original shape after stopping, minimizing temporary deformation and allowing operation without extended warm-up periods.
The SingleWire bead with shortened transition zone maintains sidewall flexibility and enables operation at reduced inflation pressures within manufacturer-specified limits. A longer contact patch further spreads the load across the soil, while the bead design simplifies mounting onto the rim.
The robust casing is built to withstand impacts encountered on uneven surfaces. For the buyer, this means a lower risk of tyre damage and unplanned equipment downtime. The combination of traction, self-cleaning ability, and shock absorption makes the Tractor 70 a practical choice for everyday agricultural tasks.
