The commercial tire Continental Scandinavia HD3 is installed on the driving axles of trucks and highway tractors. It is characterized by increased traction and grip properties on snowy and icy surfaces, good fuel efficiency and wear resistance, and increased load capacity.
The tread pattern is notable for the presence of lamellas with saw-tooth edges. The slots have a two-stage profile of the walls, which additionally increases traction and braking intensity on rolled snow, ice, and wet pavement. Among other features of the tread pattern, it is worth noting the beveled edges of the blocks. They reduce the risk of stone trapping, improve traction on slippery surfaces, and prevent premature wear of the tire's tread.
