The Continental Hybrid HD3 commercial tire is installed on the driving axle. It is designed for long-haul transportation, but at the same time, it has a good efficiency on poor roads. It is distinguished by a long service life, pronounced fuel-saving properties, and stable traction on wet surfaces even with significant wear of the tread part of the tire.
The design of the tread pattern is characterized by the presence of a large number of blocks. This made it possible to significantly increase the number of gripping edges. Most of them are located at a significant angle. As a result, not only high traction is achieved, but also stable grip. These properties are additionally enhanced by 3D lamellas cut into each block.
The tread part has a two-layer structure. The lower base layer reduces rolling resistance, increases directional stability, and prevents uneven wear. The outer part provides maximum dense adhesion of the tread to the road surface, increasing the contact patch with it.
The sidewalls are made of a special rubber compound. Due to its increased stiffness, the tire has resistance to deformation, which reduces rolling resistance and, along with it, fuel consumption.
