One of the distinctive features of the Continental HDR+ truck tire is its unique carcass design, designed to provide high reliability during operation. The carcass contains an increased number of layers of steel cord. Each layer is coated with a rubber compound, the composition of which is individual for each layer. This significantly adds flexibility to the tire carcass, allowing the tire to better absorb impact energy. Additionally, the high strength of the carcass allows the Continental HDR+ tire to repeatedly undergo the tread restoration procedure, as well as to withstand cuts and scratches that inevitably occur when driving on low-quality roads.
The deep tread pattern, filled with many large blocks with closed faces, provides excellent handling and traction characteristics. Also, the innovative tread pattern contributes to a long service life. The use of a specially selected combination of synthetic and natural rubbers in the rubber compound of the Continental HDR+ tire also significantly improves the tire's wear resistance.
