The Compasal CPS25 truck tire is designed for installation on the steering and trailer axles of high-capacity commercial vehicles. The model is characterized by excellent applicability. The Asian manufacturer offers it in 11 sizes for wheels with a mounting diameter of 22.5 and 24.5 inches. Of these, 10 have the M+S marking, which means the possibility of year-round operation.
Optimized tread pattern
The key feature of this model is that it was developed specifically for the steering and trailer axles of trucks. This is evident from the tread pattern design, adapted for operation in certain conditions. It contains five longitudinal ribs, the width of which varies depending on the location. The elements in the central part have a noticeably smaller size. This made it possible to improve directional stability, reducing rolling resistance and, as a consequence, fuel consumption.
In turn, the shoulder areas are made very massive and do not have any composite elements. This gives them high rigidity, which minimizes deformations that occur under the influence of lateral acceleration forces. The ultimate result of this solution is the stability of traction properties and a reduced risk of uneven wear due to the optimization of external load distribution over the contact patch.
Z-shaped lamellae
The longitudinal ribs in the central part contain narrow slots. The functionality of these elements is to form numerous edges that the tire grips the road surface with a low coefficient of friction. At the same time, the slots have a Z-shaped form, which enhances the traction properties and resistance to deformation of the tread ribs.
