The Bridgestone R200 truck tire was specifically designed for light and medium-duty trucks. At the same time, this model is favorably distinguished by excellent applicability, which is ensured by a thoughtful approach to forming a size range that includes exclusively popular sizes for wheels with a mounting diameter of 15 and 16 inches.
Simplicity and Efficiency
Unlike a significant part of Bridgestone's tire products, this model is distinguished by an extremely cautious approach to the use of the latest technologies. This is due to the desire to provide this model with maximum performance at minimal cost, which, in turn, will make it possible to achieve a significant reduction in operating costs, making its acquisition even more beneficial.
That's why the Bridgestone R200 is equipped with a symmetrical non-directional tread pattern, which has a fairly simple design. It contains five longitudinal ribs, separated by drainage grooves. At the same time, three such elements form the central part, and the other two - the shoulder areas of the tread.
Rigid Central Rib and Shoulder Areas
This model is characterized by excellent directional stability, handling, and good carrying capacity. All these properties are achieved due to the rigid design of the central longitudinal rib and both shoulder areas. Additionally, such a design contributes to a significant reduction in rolling resistance.
A Large Number of Transverse Traction Edges
Despite the relatively small number of individual tread elements, this model has good traction properties even in unfavorable weather conditions. They are ensured by numerous transverse traction edges formed by transverse lamellas, which are cut into two of the three longitudinal ribs of the central part of the tread.
Main Features of the Bridgestone R200 Tire
- the tire is designed for use on any axle of light and medium trucks;
- a rigid central rib improves directional stability, reduces rolling resistance, and increases the accuracy of the driver's command execution;
- the reinforced design of the shoulder areas, due to the optimization of the distribution of external pressure over the contact patch, provides excellent carrying capacity.
