The Bridgestone Duravis R-Steer 002 Evo commercial tire is designed for a wide range of trucks and special equipment based on them, from highway tractors, concrete mixers to passenger buses and garbage trucks. It is installed on the steering axle. In addition to universality in application, it is distinguished by exceptional ride comfort, good fuel efficiency, reliable traction, including on winter surfaces.
The tire tread is made of a rubber compound called Nanopro Tech. The compound is characterized by low heat generation during prolonged high-speed driving, which reduces rolling resistance and, along with it, fuel consumption and wear. The tire's tread profile is made almost flat. This design increases the contact patch and gives it a rectangular shape. As a result, the stability of the traction properties is improved, especially when maneuvering, and the uneven wear of the tread is reduced. It is worth noting the use of 3D lamellas here. The self-locking grooves limit the mobility of the tread blocks, which also leads to improved handling and further increases the tire's lifespan. The sharp edges formed by the lamellas provide reliable traction on slippery winter surfaces, primarily when slowing down, allowing the braking distance to be significantly reduced.
