Description Blackhawk BDR75 Studded
The Blackhawk BDR75 Studded winter model was designed not for "average" commercial vehicles, but for real operating conditions, where the same vehicle can carry both passengers and cargo, move on dry highways and drive onto wet loading ramps. Engineers achieved a unique balance - directional stability, precise maneuverability, and stable traction properties.
Central Zone
In the center of the tire, there are four ring-shaped ribs with segmentation, separated by a deep longitudinal groove. This architecture solves two problems at once:
- steering responsiveness - the ribs create the necessary stiffness for instant response to minimal steering wheel movement;
- increased traction - the sharp edges of the blocks and notches work like hundreds of micro-hooks, gripping the unevenness of the asphalt. This is called the edge effect, which is especially important when accelerating and braking on wet and slippery roads.
It is worth noting the presence of studs, which significantly increase the fixation of the contact zone on snowy and icy road surfaces. This factor increases the level of safety and allows the tire to be used in regions with harsh conditions.
Sidewalls
The wide shoulder areas have a developed block structure - this is not a design element, but a functional one. When cornering, the outer blocks deform under load, increasing the contact area. The result is the stability of the vehicle during sharp maneuvers and turns in limited space. Additionally, the notches work as additional traction aids when driving on rough roads or gravel.
Compound with Wear-Resistant Matrix
The production of the model uses a polymer mixture modified by an additive system. The latter is responsible for resistance to wear during intense urban driving and preserves the elasticity of the tread even at negative temperatures. This allows the tire to closely follow the road unevenness, increasing real traction, including in winter conditions.
Key Features of Blackhawk BDR75 Studded:
- the model works correctly on a wide range of commercial equipment: from minivans and small vans to light trucks and special equipment;
- a rigid central zone with ribs and dividing grooves guarantees predictable movement;
- the presence of studs increases the level of safety in icy road conditions;
- even pressure distribution in the contact area and wear-resistant rubber compound extend the service life without the appearance of local "bald spots".
