The Belshina Bel-159 truck tire owes its existence to the Minsk Automobile Plant, which produces a wide range of trucks and buses. This model is designed specifically for the products of this Belarusian enterprise, and it is distinguished by its ability to be used all year round and its excellent performance on roads, as stated by the manufacturer, with "improved capital coverage".
Open tread pattern design
Since this model is designed for medium-tonnage trucks, its tread pattern contains many solutions inherent to passenger tires designed for all-season use. First and foremost, this includes five longitudinal ribs formed from a multitude of rectangular blocks, evenly distributed throughout the tread. Such a design provides the tire with a number of advantages, which will be discussed below.
Multiple traction edges
The presence of a large number of individual tread elements allowed the Belarusian tire makers to significantly increase the number of traction edges, which had a very positive effect on the traction and coupling properties, especially on slippery surfaces.

The five longitudinal ribs of the Belshina Bel-159 mentioned above are composed of a multitude of individual tread blocks of a rectangular shape, arranged in a longitudinal direction. This combination allows for a significant improvement in directional stability, even at very high speeds, ensuring reliable and stable behavior.
High-performance drainage system
Thanks to the presence of many individual elements, the tread pattern of this model contains a large number of transverse and longitudinal drainage channels. Their size is sufficient to easily handle the removal of not only water but also more heavy snow masses from the contact patch, ensuring reliable traction in any weather conditions.
