Description Alceed AL44
Alceed AL44 — a commercial tyre with a road tread pattern. Its foundation consists of longitudinal rows of elements separated by four continuous grooves. Wide shoulder zones and a dense central area help maintain stable support, while transverse sipes add biting edges for grip on the surface.
Longitudinal tread structure
The central part of the tread is divided into several longitudinal rows. Their elements are arranged densely, without large open gaps typical of off-road patterns. This configuration maintains contact with hard surfaces and limits tread block movement during rolling. The middle row features broken transverse edges that supplement the longitudinal edges during braking.
Four water evacuation grooves
The main channels run around the entire circumference of the tyre. They draw water from the contact patch and direct it along the tread. Transverse sipes in the central rows connect individual working surface areas to these channels. This network helps reduce the amount of water between the tread and the road, maintaining grip on wet surfaces.
Dense shoulder zones
Wide shoulder areas with an almost continuous support surface are located at the edges of the tread. They are not divided by deep transverse grooves into separate movable blocks. This increases the stiffness of the tread edges under lateral load and helps maintain stability of the contact patch during maneuvering. Short sipes on the outer side of the shoulder complement the pattern while preserving the main width of the support area.
Key features of Alceed AL44
- highway tread pattern with dense longitudinal rows of elements;
- four circumferential grooves channel water away from the contact zone;
- transverse sipes provide additional biting edges for grip;
- wide shoulder zones limit deformation of the tread edges during maneuvering.
