Open design of a symmetrical non-directional tread pattern
Since this model was initially designed for operation on various types of surfaces, its tread was equipped with a large number of traction edges. They are formed by numerous blocks of complex polygonal shape, which make up four longitudinal ribs. Two of them are located in the central part, and the other two are the shoulder zones of the tread pattern.
This design allowed the tire to have several important qualities at once. First of all, it is excellent directional stability when moving at high speed with high traction and coupling properties in the longitudinal direction.
Reinforced construction of shoulder zones
Unlike the central part, the shoulder zones of the tread pattern of this model have more massive dimensions. At the same time, they are also composed of a large number of polygonal blocks that form two additional longitudinal ribs. The massive dimensions gave this part of the tread a greater structural rigidity, which made it possible to improve a significant part of the characteristics. First of all, it is worth noting the stability and reliability of traction, which is achieved due to the invariance of the shape and size of the contact patch. These properties also led to an increase in the resistance of the tread to uneven wear.
