Description Aeolus HN228
A key feature of the Aeolus HN228 truck tire is its versatility of application. This model is not only suitable for installation on any axis of trucks, but also demonstrates excellent traction, both on paved roads and beyond. This is because it was created specifically for trucking equipment used in municipal economy and industrial sphere, in particular, in construction.
Wide contact patch
Most of the operational qualities of the Aeolus HN228 tire are provided by a symmetrical non-directional tread pattern, which has a rather aggressive design. It consists of two functional parts, which, due to their functional purpose, have a different structure. The central part contains a large number of individual blocks, grouped into two longitudinal ribs. In turn, the shoulder areas are distinguished by a closed design.
During movement, the blocks of the central part, due to their complex polygonal shape, form a multitude of sharp edges. Thanks to them, excellent traction is ensured not only on asphalt, but also on unstable coatings. As for the shoulder areas, their massiveness increases the contact patch, making it as wide as possible and giving it a practically rectangular shape. This significantly improves the stability and reliability of traction on asphalt, as well as contributes to the optimization of the distribution of external pressure on the contact patch. In addition, their solid, break-free design contributes to a reduction in rolling resistance and the level of noise generated by the blocks located in the central part of the tread.
Excellent resistance to aquaplaning
The block structure of the central part made it possible to equip the tread pattern with a fairly developed drainage system. At the same time, all longitudinal and transverse grooves have large sizes, sufficient to quickly remove even significant amounts of water from the contact patch, thereby ensuring reliable traction on a wet road.
Main features of the Aeolus HN228 tire
- possibility of installation on any axis of trucks;
- universal tread pattern is effective both on paved roads and beyond;
- wide contact patch, low rolling resistance due to the reinforced design of the shoulder areas of the tread.
