The Aeolus ASR35 tire is designed for medium-duty commercial vehicles. The model is offered in 7 sizes for wheels with a rim diameter of 16 and 17.5 inches. It is recommended by the manufacturer for installation on the steering axle and limited use on the driving axle. It is characterized by responsive handling, resistance to aquaplaning, and a long service life.
Versatility in application
The tire is designed for the steering axle. Nevertheless, the manufacturer allows its use on the driving axles of trucks. The versatility of the application is largely due to the tread pattern. Its central part contains a large number of small blocks, which form three longitudinal ribs. The elements are arranged in different directions, as are the edges formed by them. This not only enhances the longitudinal traction and coupling properties but also gives them high stability, especially on wet surfaces.
Rigid shoulder areas
In contrast to the central part, the shoulder areas of the tread are made in the form of solid longitudinal ribs. These elements have high deformation resistance. This feature contributes to faster transmission of lateral acceleration forces, which significantly simplifies the vehicle control process. Additionally, such a design, by optimizing the distribution of external load on the contact patch, ensures even tread wear.
