The TagAZ Santa Fe crossover was produced from 2007 to 2013. The Russian brand car was named after the city of Santa Fe in the USA and belonged to the first generation of the same-name model of the Hyundai concern, which debuted in 2001.

Technical features

The car was created on the Y4 platform developed by Hyundai-Kia, essentially being a copy of the Santa Fe crossover, except for some minor details. The engine range consisted of two engines. The "base" one was an in-line diesel "four" with a volume of 2 liters with a turbocharger and a Common Rail system. The alternative was a 2.7-liter V6 gasoline engine of the Delta family. The engine was fully aluminum, which made it very light considering the layout and number of cylinders. Depending on the configuration, the power units worked in pair with a 5-speed manual or 4-range automatic transmission. And already in the standard equipment, the crossover had a four-wheel drive system, in which the rear axle was connected when the front wheels slipped. Another undeniable advantage of the car was the suspension. Classic "MacPhersons" were used at the front, and "multi-link" at the rear. At the same time, the range of free suspension travel was increased, which ensured good cross-country ability and smooth ride on rough terrain. The car was popular all the years of its serial production, remaining so to this day, thanks to its excellent reliability and inexpensive maintenance.
