The car is based on the VS5 crossover, which in turn is one of the modifications of the well-known Skoda Karoq. The distinctive feature of this model is an increased wheelbase of 100 mm, which is 2730 mm. As a result, in terms of dimensions, this car turned out to be larger than the Volkswagen Tiguan, conceding only slightly to its extended version Allspace. Another important difference from the standard VS5 is the equipment. It is significantly better. The climate control has a fully sensor control panel, and the handbrake has an electromechanical drive. The list of additional options includes cameras with a surround view, a panoramic roof, and LED headlights, which are not available for the "five".

In technical terms, both crossovers repeat each other. The engine range consists of one power unit - a 1.4-liter inline four-cylinder TSI turbocharged engine, developing 150 hp. In standard versions, it is combined with a 6-speed manual transmission, and in more expensive trim levels, it is not paired with the long-forgotten "robot" DSG, but with a classic 6-range "automatic" from the Japanese Aisin. Unlike Karoq, the all-wheel drive system is not available, but a more efficient multi-link suspension is used at the rear instead of a semi-dependent beam. Another difference of the Chinese crossover is the tires, which in the standard configuration may seem excessively "noisy".
