The Chinese company Beiqi is a subsidiary of one of the largest automotive holdings in China, BAIC Group. It was created through the merger of around 100 companies and enterprises located in 13 provinces of China. History

Since its inception, the company has been inextricably linked with the Foton brand, which has existed since 1996. It is used in the production of a wide range of commercial vehicles of various capacities, agricultural tractors, machines, and equipment. Their design widely uses technologies and materials from leading European and North American manufacturers. One of them is the German Daimler AG, with which a strategic partnership agreement was signed in 2003. Four years later, a joint venture with the North American Cummins began operations, which is engaged in the production of commercial diesel engines. In particular, its products appeared in the microbuses of the Russian brand GAZelle and GAZelle Next. In 2017, the German ZF, a world leader in the development of automotive transmissions, appeared among the partners of the Chinese Beiqi.

Currently, the company is represented on the Russian market by commercial vehicles of the Foton brand.
