BAIC BJEV is a subsidiary of BAIC Group that specializes in the design and production of electric vehicles. In September 2021, BAIC BJEV and Huawei issued a joint statement announcing their cooperation in the creation of an "intelligent" electric vehicle under the Arcfox brand. The statement referred to a special version of the α-S model, which was unveiled in May 2022. This vehicle uses Huawei Inside technology, which is a complex of hardware and software installed in the vehicle.

Currently, the company manages two brands, one of which is Arcfox, produced as part of a joint venture with the Canadian company Magna. The Arcfox brand is represented by four models of compact crossovers and passenger cars. Another brand managed by BAIC BJEV is Beijing. The model lineup includes four vehicles that are special versions of compact sedans and crossovers, equipped exclusively with electric powertrains.
