Winter wheel set for Tesla Cybertruck estimated at $3000

Tesla has introduced a winter wheel kit for the Cybertruck, which includes Cyber Wheels discs designed to complement the car's futuristic design, Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac RT tires in the size 285/65 R20 and tire pressure sensors. The kit costs $3,000 (262,000 rubles).

Wes Morrill, the chief engineer of the Cybertruck project, had previously mentioned that Tesla was preparing to offer buyers and owners of the pickup truck winter-optimized tires. The Wrangler Duratrac RT tires have a 3PMSF (three-peak mountain snowflake) rating, which indicates their effectiveness on snow.

As noted by Torque News, the new offering is primarily intended to appeal to drivers living in regions with cold winters, such as Canada, the northern United States, or mountainous areas where roads may be snowy and icy. Additionally, this attention to the needs of specific customer groups can give Tesla an advantage over other electric pickup truck manufacturers that do not yet offer similar options.

The Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac RT tires are generally considered all-season, and their snow performance has been improved, in particular, due to an optimized tread pattern with a larger number of traction edges. Additionally, the tires are well-suited for off-road use, and their Kevlar-reinforced construction, combined with the special Durawall compound used for the three-ply sidewalls, reduces the likelihood of punctures, cuts, and other damage when used in harsh conditions.

For the Cybertruck, all-season Pirelli Scorpion ATR tires (without a snowflake rating) that increase the range, and off-road Goodyear Wrangler Territory RT tires are also available.
