Yokohama and Leapmotor Mark the Delivery of One Million Tires
Yokohama and Leapmotor held an experience-sharing meeting in Hangzhou, China, also celebrating the delivery of one million tires to the Chinese automaker. The collaboration began in March 2024, meaning that the milestone of one million tires was achieved in less than two years, which Yokohama attributes to the stable quality of products and efficient deliveries.

Hangzhou is home to Leapmotor's headquarters, and Yokohama is currently building a new passenger car tire plant in the city, which is expected to produce its first products this month. The facility will become the largest production site with 100% foreign capital in Hangzhou in nearly 10 years, and Yokohama emphasizes that the plant will focus on producing high-performance tires for electric and hybrid vehicles, and its opening will create opportunities for future cooperation with NEV companies like Leapmotor.
Yokohama adds that the "partnership with Leapmotor perfectly matches the trends of electrification and intellectualization of the Chinese automotive industry," and the company, being one of the key players in the local NEV market, equips many of its vehicles with Yokohama ADVAN Sport EV tires, specifically designed for this segment and featuring increased load capacity, reduced noise, and optimized rolling resistance.

Yokohama also calls Hangzhou a region with a high concentration of automotive industry enterprises, which "will provide the company and other component suppliers with unique opportunities for development and co-innovation."
"Using the Hangzhou plant, we will consistently introduce the latest technologies and tire products to the Chinese market, as well as collaborate with leading local partners to jointly take the NEV industry to the next level," the company concluded.
