In Russia, the production of synthetic rubber has decreased
Against the backdrop of a decline in production volumes in the Russian tire industry, the output of synthetic rubber in the country has also decreased. According to official statistics, in July 2025, the production of synthetic rubber in Russia decreased by 6.9% compared to the same period last year, with a total of just over 100,000 tons of products being released, reports RUPEC.
It is noted that this year, Rosstat for the first time recorded a decline in synthetic rubber production, and in the first six months, there was growth. For this reason, over the first seven months, the dynamics are positive, and production has grown by 2.7%.
Earlier, it was reported that in the second quarter of 2025, the production of passenger car tires in Russia decreased by 18.9%, and experts point out, in particular, that "imports continue to put pressure on the market".
