In the Moscow region, a new workshop for recycling old tires has been completed

The Dmitrovsky Plant of RTI, which is engaged in the collection and processing of tires, has built a new workshop near the existing site in the Dmitrovsky city district of the Moscow region, reported the press service of the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Science of the Moscow Region.

In the new workshop, equipment will be installed, which, as noted, will not only increase the volume of processed tires, but also expand the range of products manufactured, and the commissioning is planned for the middle of next year.

"As part of the implementation of a large-scale project, investments in which are estimated at 500 million rubles, the company has already completed the construction of the first workshop," said Deputy Chairman of the Government - Minister of Investment, Industry and Science of the Moscow Region Ekaterina Zinovyeva. - At the same time, the enterprise started building a second workshop."

The Dmitrovsky plant has been processing tires into rubber crumb and powder since 2012, which are used in the construction of children's and sports grounds, as well as as a modifier for asphalt concrete mixes, etc.

"Our plant is equipped with equipment that allows us to process tires of any size - from bicycle to large-sized, with a diameter of 3.5 meters," said Deputy General Director - Head of the Waste Management Department of the Dmitrovsky Plant of RTI Ksenia Ershova. - But, thanks to our programs for centralized collection of tires from the population, which are actively working in 15 subjects of Russia, the main volume is tires from passenger and freight transport. Used car tires and tires are prohibited from being thrown into garbage dumps, forests and ravines, in order to prevent harmful substances from entering the soil and air. The technology of mechanical tire processing is the most environmentally friendly and waste-free."
