In Pakistan, a new production of passenger tires will appear

Service Long March Tyres, a joint venture between Service Industries and China's Chaoyang Long March Tyre, has announced that it will launch the production of passenger car tires at its plant in Nooriabad (Sindh province), investing around $80 million in the project.

According to the SLM statement, the decision to launch passenger tire production was approved by the company's board of directors, and the products will be supplied to both the Pakistani and export markets.

SLM was founded in 2020 and is considered the first Pakistani manufacturer of radial truck and bus tires. In 2024, it was announced that the company intends to double its capacity to export tires to the EU and the US, with the announced investment amounting to $110 million at the time. Tires are produced under the SLM, Starlux, Passu, Karakoram, Long March, Supercargo, and Roadlux brands.
