In Linglong, the ban on tire supplies from Serbia to the US was called "inexplicable"

The Chinese company Linglong commented on the ban on supplies of tires produced at the company's plant in Serbia to the US market, which was previously announced by the US Customs and Border Protection (CBP), stating that evidence of labor rights violations at the enterprise had been collected.

Linglong stated that the US authorities' decision is "completely inexplicable" and pointed out that the allegations are "long outdated" and relate exclusively to subcontractors, while the company itself has already taken comprehensive measures to address the issue. In particular, relations with subcontractors suspected of violations were severed, and measures were taken to "improve working conditions, respect human rights, and business ethics".

"We have also published a code of conduct that is mandatory for all partners and contractors and contains clear rules for complying with social and environmental legislation," the company says. "In addition, the process of interacting with suppliers has integrated an assessment of social responsibility, which will be constantly reviewed."

"All these measures make the decision of the US authorities even more incomprehensible, and we will do our best to convince them of this," Linglong says, emphasizing that "all our activities are carried out in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Serbia and the requirements for humane and lawful working conditions".
