In Kemerovo, they are replacing imports of raw materials for the tire industry
The production of oil-polymer resin at the Kemerovo enterprise "VostokPolimerHim" has allowed Russian tire companies to abandon the purchase of foreign analogues, strengthening their technological independence, according to the press service of the administration of the Kuzbass government.
"The developments of Kemerovo's petrochemical engineers have allowed Russian tire plants to build a production contour that is independent of foreign supplies," said Ilya Seredyuk, the governor of the Kemerovo region - Kuzbass. "This is the real embodiment of the president's course towards technological sovereignty. We will continue to support initiatives that help protect our industry from external risks."
The oil-polymer resin produced by "VostokPolimerHim" is also used in the production of varnishes, paints, and adhesives, and another in-demand product of the enterprise is oil-polymer solvent, which serves as an organic solvent for diluting industrial enamels. Last year, the company produced 7.8 thousand tons of products, of which more than a third was sent for export, including to the EAEU countries.
In 2026, "VostokPolimerHim" received a preferential loan of 30 million rubles from the Kuzbass Industrial Development Fund, which will be used primarily to purchase raw materials to increase production volumes, and it is reported that "the Fund's resources allowed the enterprise to build sustainable financial planning, maintain stability of work and continue production development".
