Toyo introduced a new tire for commercial vans

The Toyo Tire company has introduced a new summer tire, the Toyo Delvex V-03e, designed for commercial vans and set to enter the Japanese market in March of this year.

According to the company, business vans with large load capacities and suitable for long-distance transportation are widely used in areas such as logistics, construction, and commerce, and the tires for vehicles of this type must have an improved balance between conflicting characteristics, such as low rolling resistance, good wear resistance, and high traction on wet roads.

For the Delvex V-03e, a new rubber compound was developed with an increased silica content and a super-active polymer that improved its dispersion. As a result, the wet performance (compared to the previous generation Delvex V-02e tires) was improved by 11%, and rolling resistance was reduced by 15%. The tread pattern of the new tires includes a groove with zigzag-shaped walls, which, in combination with large shoulder ribs and an increased contact patch width, provides high mileage.

"All these solutions have allowed us to create a tire for commercial vans that has reduced rolling resistance and improved wet performance, while maintaining the same level of wear resistance as our standard products," noted Toyo.

The new tire will be available in 10 sizes with diameters ranging from 13 to 15 inches.
