Toyo scores fourth consecutive win in Baja 400 race

Bryce Menzies and Toyo Tires have marked their fourth consecutive win in the Baja 400 off-road race, which took place in Mexico's Baja California from September 10 to 15, starting from 2021. Toyo's partners took four out of five top spots in the overall standings on Toyo Open Country M/T-R tires, while Rodrigo Ampudia, using Toyo Open Country SxS tires, won in the Pro UTV Forced Induction class.

In the SCORE series, Menzies has won four out of the last six races, starting with the Baja 500 last year, with the next being the Baja 1000 in November.

"Winning four Baja 400 races in a row is really something special," the driver said. "I've achieved a lot in my career, but nothing like this. The Baja 400 is the most technical race of the year, and it suits my driving style well. I wouldn't have been able to achieve this success without Toyo tires, which have never let me down."

Toyo Open Country M/T-R are off-road tires specifically designed for motorsports and cannot be used on public roads. The tires are made from a special rubber compound that increases resistance to cuts, tears, and more, while the hook-shaped block pattern is designed to provide high traction in the toughest off-road conditions.

In turn, Toyo Open Country SxS were developed based on the M/T-R, but are available in smaller sizes and have been refined for use on ATVs. The tires can also only be used in racing, and their reinforced construction combined with optimized rubber compounds is designed to guarantee high strength and efficiency on rocks, mud, and more.

"Four consecutive wins in the Baja 400 desert race is an incredible achievement for Bryce and the Toyo team," said Stan Chen, senior manager of motorsports for Toyo's US division. "Overall wins are always a reason to celebrate, but it's also worth noting the consistency with which our partners perform in races of this caliber. We're looking forward to the Baja 1000 and hoping to end the year on the same high note."

Previously, drivers on Toyo tires have won the Baja 1000 and Baja 500 five times and the San Felipe 250 three times, and the Open Country line of tires has also been successfully used in the Dakar Rally.
