Titan International supported Trump's tariff policy

The American tire company Titan International has supported Donald Trump's decision to introduce new import duties.

"This is an important moment in American history, as the trade policy [of the Trump administration] is able to change the global economy and geopolitical relations," said David Martin, senior vice president and chief financial officer of the company. "Titan has long been a domestic producer of tires, wheels, and tracks for special equipment with pride, supplying critical products to leading suppliers of agricultural, construction, and consumer products, as well as to end-users through our outstanding network of distributors, and there is no other American company with our production capabilities. We have been fighting foreign competition for years with insufficient tariff barriers, and we have continued to win due to our strengths."

Titan International has a history dating back to 1890, and the company's headquarters is located in West Chicago (Illinois). Titan has factories in various countries around the world and is the managing investor of the Russian Voltyre-Prom JSC.
