Prinx tires have been included in the configuration of the Ora 5 crossover

Prinx Chengshan has been chosen as the supplier of original equipment tires for the Ora 5 — the first crossover in the brand's lineup, created by the Chinese company Great Wall Motors (GWM) specifically for the electric vehicle segment.

The Ora 5 will be equipped with Prinx Xnex Sport EV tires in size 225/60 R18, initially designed specifically for electric and hybrid vehicles and fine-tuned in collaboration with the automaker. Thanks to a special rubber compound, their rolling resistance is 7% lower than the level required to achieve the highest "A" rating in the EU labeling system, which will increase the vehicle's range.

Prinx Xnex Sport EV also features an asymmetric tread pattern with diagonal grooves that reduce the risk of aquaplaning, and massive shoulder blocks that improve lateral stability during high-speed maneuvering. The tire's carcass structure has been modified to reduce weight without compromising strength.

Prinx Chengshan also supplies tires to other leading Chinese automakers, such as SAIC, Xpeng, and Chery. The company says that, leveraging the capabilities of its five research centers in China, Thailand, Malaysia, and Europe, it will continue to develop its cooperation with partners in the OE segment.
