Sentury redirects funding from Spanish factory project to Morocco plant

Chinese tire manufacturer Sentury Tire appears to have abandoned plans to build a major tire plant in Spain, redirecting planned investment of several tens of millions of euros to expand its existing facility in Tangier, Morocco.

This decision, which was prompted by administrative and environmental issues in Spain, is expected to increase the production capacity of the Tangier plant to 12 million tires per year.
