Yokohama Rubber has started supplying tires for the electric sedan Lynk & Co Z10, released by Lynk & Co, a joint venture between Chinese Geely Auto Group and Swedish Volvo Car Group.

The Z10 was launched in the Chinese market in September last year, and its configuration included Yokohama ADVAN Sport EV V108 UHP class tires (in size 245/50 R19), specifically designed for premium electric vehicles. The tires were created based on the ADVAN Sport V107 model, and the rubber compound has been optimized to reduce rolling resistance and increase the range of electric vehicles, while the tread pattern, according to Yokohama, provides rapid water drainage and increases safety in complex weather conditions. The special "E+" marking on the sidewalls indicates that the tires are adapted for use on electric vehicles.

The Lynk & Co Z10 is a premium "smart" sedan that has become the brand's first electric vehicle. The maximum range on a single battery charge is 800 km, and a 15-minute fast charge can provide a range of up to 573 km.

Yokohama notes that as part of its strategy to increase sales of high-value-added tires, it continues to expand supplies of tires under the flagship ADVAN brand in the original equipment sector, and in China, the company intends to pay special attention to equipping electric vehicles and other vehicles using new energy sources.
