Chinese Sailun has announced the acquisition of the American tire company Vogue Tyre, which has a history of over 110 years and is known for its tires with white and colored stripes. The companies have been collaborating for over a decade, and not long ago, a line of Sailun tires with rims in seven different colors was jointly introduced in China, and the merger, as noted, "will turn this partnership into a powerful force in the premium tire market".

"Vogue Tyre is not just a brand, it's a statement," said Peter Koszo, head of Sailun North America. "By integrating Vogue, we will combine world-class manufacturing with a legendary name in premium automotive design. Together, we will create new opportunities for dealers and consumers who refuse to settle for the ordinary".

In Sailun, they add that the acquisition of new assets should accelerate the company's entry into the premium segment, as well as improve the prestige of the brand and customer loyalty. "With Vogue Tyre's over 100-year reputation for luxury and style, Sailun is ready to make an even greater impact on the industry by offering high-performance products that set new standards," the company says, adding that "for Vogue dealers, the prospects have never been more positive, and with Sailun's global resources, they will have access to advanced innovative technologies and the opportunity to increase market reach".

Greg Haskock, president of Vogue, noted that "we recently celebrated our 110th anniversary, and this deal is the best way to honor our legacy and ensure the company's development in the future". "Vogue Tyre has always strived to stand out, push boundaries, and define future trends, and with Sailun, the possibilities for us are endless," he added.

Vogue Tyre was founded in 1914 in Chicago by chauffeur Harry Hower. The idea was that tires with white stripes on the sidewalls would attract the attention of customers using cars with personal drivers.
