A record year for Pirelli: successes in testing and awards for "intelligent" tyres
The company Pirelli announced that 2025 was a record year for the company in several respects, and the Italian brand's tires received excellent ratings in numerous independent tests, while the Cyber Tyre technology was awarded by several organizations and specialized magazines.
Last year, Pirelli tires from the P Zero, Cinturato, and Scorpion lines participated in 34 tests and finished in the top three 27 times, with 15 wins. The new 2025 models, including the summer P Zero (PZ5) and Cinturato (C3), performed well in testing, with the P Zero (PZ5) winning tests by Tyre Reviews and Auto Express, which, according to the company, confirms that the tires provide an optimal level of safety. The new Cinturato was twice recognized as the best, including in Tyre Reviews tests, and finished on the podium two more times, also demonstrating excellent driving qualities.
In the winter segment, the non-studded P Zero Winter 2 European-type tire stood out, winning in its class according to the test conducted by the Swedish magazine Teknikens Värld, and Pirelli says it is also one of the tires with the most available technologies, such as Runflat and its improved version Runforward, as well as the Pirelli Noise Cancelling System (PNCS), which reduces noise levels.
In the all-season tire sector, the Pirelli Cinturato All Season SF 3 became one of the leaders according to test results, winning 11 tests and finishing in the top three three more times. Auto Bild Sportscars noted that the tires allow for precise trajectory following and dominated all safety-related disciplines, while Jonathan Benson from Tyre Reviews said that "this tire can do almost anything."
Last year, the all-season Scorpion All Season SF 3 tire for SUVs and crossovers was also released, which also received recognition from independent experts, and the successes of the two models allowed Pirelli to earn the status of best all-season tire manufacturer of 2025, which was awarded to the company by the German Automobile Club (AvD) and Auto Bild magazine.
Last year, Pirelli also received four awards for Cyber Tyre, the first system of its kind that uses hardware and software to collect data from sensors in tires, process the information using special algorithms, and interact with the vehicle's electronics in real-time.
The "cyber tires" were awarded the Autotech Breakthrough Awards in the US and the Automobile Awards in France, and the AutoBest competition jury, which included experts from 32 European countries, awarded them the SafetyBest Award. Additionally, the American company Frost & Sullivan recognized Pirelli as the "Company of the Year" for its "innovative approach to Cyber Tyre technology, which demonstrates how digitalization can transform even the most 'traditional' automotive components."
