Prometeon will support last year's Dakar champion in the 2025 race
During the "Dakar-2025" rally, Prometeon Tyre Group (PTG) will once again partner with Martin Macik Jr., who last year became the winner of the truck category. This year, the Czech driver will defend his title, and PTG will equip six rally trucks of the MM Technology team, including Macik Jr.'s vehicle, with new Prometeon S02 Rally tires.
The new Prometeon S02 Rally tires were developed specifically for extreme conditions, such as those that await participants in the rally marathon in the Arabian Desert, and will undergo intense testing over the next two weeks. The 2025 race will start on January 3 and will consist of 12 stages, with the tires being used on sand, mud, and rocks, among other surfaces.
The new livery of the MM Technology trucks was presented during a press conference in Prague, and the vehicles, as well as the helmets and suits of the participants, are designed in colors that reflect Prometeon's corporate symbolism.
"The collaboration with Prometeon is crucial for our team," Macik Jr. noted. "Their tires have already proven their incredible reliability and high efficiency, and we are eager to test them in the 2025 rally. Given the extreme conditions, we understand how important it is to use the most advanced products and technologies."
The Prometeon S02 Rally tire is part of the new Series 02 lineup and was designed to maintain structural integrity in the most challenging off-road conditions. The sidewalls have been reinforced to improve resistance to strong impacts and wear on abrasive surfaces characteristic of rally competitions, while the tread pattern was created specifically to provide optimal handling on rough terrain, including gravel and mud. The rubber compound has been optimized to enhance traction across a wide range of temperatures and road conditions, as well as to ensure that the tires retain their effectiveness over a long period. Additionally, the reinforced tire construction increases stability at high speeds and reduces deformation during jumps and on uneven surfaces, while the special bead area structure ensures reliable tire seating on the rim and reduces the risk of slipping or coming off the disk.

At the "Dakar-2025", Prometeon will also partner with the Italtrans team.
