Under the Sumitomo brand, a new off-road tire has been released
The US market has introduced a new tire, the Sumitomo Encounter AT2, designed for use in any weather and road conditions and intended for operation on pickups, crossovers, and SUVs, as well as on compact vans used for last-mile delivery.
The novelty features a non-directional tread pattern with four support ribs, optimized for both improved mud and snow traction and increased tire lifespan and reduced noise. Wave-like 3D lamellae enhance grip on slippery surfaces, deep longitudinal grooves drain water from the contact area and extend the life of the tires, and the design of the shoulder blocks of varying width has been refined to repel stones, sand, etc. and increase traction in off-road conditions. The 3PMSF marking indicates that the tires meet the snow traction requirements, and the warranty mileage is 105,000 km.

As noted by Rachel Tibor, Vice President of Marketing at TBC, which handles the sales of Sumitomo brand tires, vehicle owners' requirements can vary significantly, so "it's critical that we continue to meet their needs with a set of options that provide reliable market coverage."
"The Encounter AT2 is built with a range of new solutions that provide high strength and excellent handling throughout the year, even in very challenging weather conditions," she added.
The Sumitomo Encounter AT2 has been released in over 50 sizes.
