Under the GT Radial brand, a new summer commercial tire has been released
Giti has released a new summer commercial tire, the GT Radial Maxmiler Pro2, which features an improved tread pattern that, according to the manufacturer, has increased braking efficiency on wet surfaces by 8% compared to the first-generation model, the Maxmiler Pro, while reducing rolling resistance by 15%.
The tires have an enhanced construction with stiff shoulder ribs, which improves controllability and stability, and attention has also been paid to improving the durability of the shoulder walls to frequent impacts when coming into contact with curbs. In addition, the speed and load indices have been changed to make the tires better suited for modern light commercial vehicles, and, for example, the sizes 215/70 R15C 109 S and 225/70 R15C 112 S have been specifically designed for segment leaders such as the Fiat Ducato and Peugeot Boxer.
The new tire was developed by specialists at Giti's technical center in Hanover, Germany, with a particular focus on improving durability, ride comfort, and economy, and it is also the first GT Radial light commercial tire to feature the EV Ready marking, indicating that it has been adapted for use on the increasingly popular electric minivans in Europe.

As noted by Fabio Pecci-Boriani, Deputy General Manager of the Hanover Science Center for passenger and light commercial tire range planning, "Maxmiler Pro has become one of the most recognizable and successful lines in the GT Radial range, and with the release of the new tire, we intend to significantly raise the bar."
"The Maxmiler Pro tires have gained popularity due to their durability, strength, and reliability, and maintaining these characteristics while reducing rolling resistance and improving braking performance on wet roads takes the tires to a whole new level, which, of course, also implies an increase in their environmental friendliness," he added. "The Maxmiler Pro2 tires are not inferior to models from leading manufacturers in terms of dynamic characteristics, and their more affordable price will be a key factor that will allow dealers to increase their sales. By releasing larger sizes with increased load and speed indices, we are offering an ideal option for the latest commercial vehicles, including motorhomes and shuttle buses, where increased comfort and low rolling resistance are of particular importance."
The GT Radial Maxmiler Pro2 tires are available in 22 sizes with diameters from 15 to 17 inches, and the target segment coverage in Europe is 88.5%. To further increase this coverage, tires from the previous generation will continue to be produced in certain sizes. According to the European classification, the new model has received A/B ratings for noise and wet grip, as well as B/C ratings for fuel efficiency.
