Omni United launches new touring tire

Singapore-based company Omni United has introduced a new touring tire under its flagship brand Radar. The novelty, called Radar Dimax Touring, belongs to the High-Performance category and is designed to improve the balance between safety, comfort, and economy, with the company emphasizing that it is optimally suited for use on both gasoline-powered vehicles and electric and hybrid cars.

The Dimax Touring tread features longitudinal grooves with "ultra-smooth" bottoms and optimized wall angles, which increase water drainage efficiency and reduce the risk of aquaplaning, while the increased stiffness of the outer shoulder improves cornering stability, the reinforced central rib improves handling accuracy, and additional lamellas reduce heat generation, allowing the tires to last longer and contribute to fuel savings. Additionally, the silica-rich rubber compound is designed to increase traction on wet roads and safety across a wide temperature range, and the optimized tread pattern reduces noise levels.

Longitudinal channels are responsible for rapid water dispersion
Optimized tread pitch increases acoustic comfort
Stiff outer shoulder increases lateral stability, and reinforced central rib improves handling sensitivity

The tires are also equipped with a wear indicator in the form of a circle that gradually erases and completely disappears when the remaining tread depth reaches 1.6 mm and the tires need to be replaced.

Radar Dimax Touring tires are available in 11 sizes from 175/65 R14 to 225/45 R17, and the tires in the available images have a DOT code of 1AJ, meaning they are manufactured by Shandong New Continent Tire at its factory in Yishui (Shandong, China). According to the EU labeling system, the tires have received a "B" rating for economy and noise, as well as a "C" rating for wet traction.
