For the Hilux Travo, the off-road tires Dunlop Grandtrek A/T31 have been approved, which, according to the manufacturer, have a shape, design, and tread pattern optimized for the various uses of the pickup truck, and the developers also aimed to improve the balance between off-road capability, reliability, and comfort.

A new rubber compound and design have been created for effective performance both off-road and on asphalt, while the variable tread pitch has helped improve acoustic comfort. Additionally, the tires are also designed to improve fuel efficiency and enhance traction on wet roads, adds Sumitomo.
