New Nokian truck tire for long-haul transportation
The Nokian Hakkapeliita tire family has been expanded with a new model - the Nokian Hakkapeliita Truck D. These are cargo tires designed for long-distance cargo transportation. The manufacturer claims that this model is distinguished by a smooth ride and confident traction on asphalt surfaces.
The Nokian Hakkapeliita Truck D tire was developed using the latest technology, making it one of the best in its class. Teppo Siltanen, the development department manager of the Finnish company, stated that the patented tread pattern design with paired blocks provides optimal traction and clear reaction to steering, even in extreme situations. Additionally, the block structure made it possible to increase the depth of the lamellae, which gave the tire maximum traction characteristics. At the same time, the traction with the road occurs without compromising stability.
Excellent acceleration and braking characteristics are ensured by the densely arranged transverse lamellae, which are equipped with special "activators" that increase safety while driving. The longitudinal traction is provided by the saw-toothed tread pattern. The tread, by the way, has a two-layer structure, which also had a positive impact on how the tire holds the road. During its development, great attention was paid to adapting the tire to the harsh climate conditions in the northern countries. Therefore, this model is perfect for operation in our country.
The unique rubber compound that makes up the tread has increased its wear resistance (this is also facilitated by the original arrangement of the tread blocks, which allows the tire to flex on road irregularities, as well as the even distribution within the contact patch). Additionally, thanks to this compound, it became possible to operate the tire in virtually any conditions: it does not freeze at low temperatures and shows the same performance in both hot weather and severe frost.
The new tire also features extremely low rolling resistance, which affects the reduced fuel consumption and emission of harmful substances into the atmosphere (in the production process of all Nokian tires, by the way, high-aromatic oils are not used, the emission of which into the atmosphere occurs during movement). So, the tire ranks among other economical and environmentally friendly models.
Another feature of the Nokian Hakkapeliita Truck D is the DSI wear indicator, which shows the remaining depth of the tread grooves. The tire also has a WSI indicator in the form of a snowflake, demonstrating the traction the tire can provide in winter. If the snowflake is erased, the tire is no longer suitable for operation in winter.
After the tread is worn out, it is not necessary to buy a new tire - this model provides the possibility of retreading.
The manufacturer assures that the Nokian Hakkapeliita Truck D tire is perfect for northern regions.
