«Nortek» changes its name

The company "Nortec" will again be called the Altai Tire Plant (ATP), as announced during the recent agricultural forum "Day of the Siberian Field - 2024", which took place on July 10-12 in the Siberian Agropark, located in the Altai Territory.

"We have undergone rebranding, returned to the old name, which has become new - this is the Altai Tire Plant. The new name of the plant shows its place of origin and location, indicates the industry, as well as the scale of the plant," - said the company's general director Vladimir Balabanov.

According to him, now at the plant "a large-scale renovation is underway", and the enterprise has become "completely different in terms of openness".

"We had many separate legal entities, now there is a single powerful legal entity [it was reported that the tire manufacturer came under the control of "Roskhim"]. The result is a new large company, new opportunities in terms of investment. This is important for working with credit organizations, with authorities of all levels and with counterparties," Balabanov said.

Altapress.ru notes that currently the ATP range includes more than 400 product positions, and the enterprise offers tires for off-road vehicles, trucks, special equipment and aviation. At the same time, Balabanov calls the agricultural tire direction, "launched during the years of virgin land development", the key one. According to him, now 30% of agricultural tires in the Russian Federation are produced in Barnaul.

The annual capacity of the ATP, as reported, exceeds 200 thousand agricultural tires, and companies such as Rostselmash, Petersburg Tractor Plant (PTZ), Minsk Tractor Plant (MTZ), Gomselmash, etc. act as customers.
