"Nizhnekamskshina" has entered the list of leaders of the ESG rating of Russian chemical companies
PAO "Nizhnekamskshina", part of the Kama Tyres complex, has been included in the top ten of the ESG rating of Russian chemical companies compiled by RAEX based on the assessment of sustainable development criteria, risk management quality, efficiency of natural resource use, and the introduction of "green" technologies.
One of the key areas of environmental work at "Nizhnekamskshina" is the development of alternative raw materials, and the company, in particular, produces summer tires Viatti Strada 2 using "green" synthetic rubber (SKI-3), produced using isobutane obtained from the processing of pyrolysis condensate. The raw material for pyrolysis condensate is waste tires, which creates a closed technological cycle that reduces the impact on the environment.
"The passenger tire plant is one of our main enterprises, and it is here that many technological solutions are implemented that shape the company's ESG profile. Receiving the status of one of the top ten ESG rating leaders testifies to the effectiveness of the environmental policy being implemented," said Timur Sharipov, Executive Director of TD "Kama".
According to RAEX, the Russian chemical industry has achieved the greatest success in the field of water resource management, compliance with business ethics, and interaction with local communities.
