Meteorologists have forecast the dates for switching to winter tires in 2025

Meteorologists from the "Yandex Weather" service shared with "Rossiyskaya Gazeta" their expectations for the weather conditions of the upcoming autumn and forecasted when it will be necessary to change tires to winter ones in various regions of Russia.

It is reported that autumn in major cities will be warmer than the climate norm, and in some of them, including St. Petersburg, Novosibirsk, Kazan, Samara, Krasnoyarsk, Chelyabinsk, and Perm, there is a possibility of new records for seasonal and monthly temperatures. A particularly noticeable temperature rise is expected in November, which in Moscow and St. Petersburg may become the warmest in the last 10 and 30 years, respectively.

According to forecasts, in Yekaterinburg, Novosibirsk, Omsk, Perm, and Krasnoyarsk, the tire changing season will begin in October; in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Nizhny Novgorod, Voronezh, Samara, Kazan, Ufa, Chelyabinsk, and Volgograd - in November; in Rostov-on-Don - at the turn of November and December; and in Krasnodar - "not earlier than the calendar winter".
