The Mercedes-AMG G63 is equipped with General tires
General Tire will be equipping the new Mercedes-AMG G63 off-road vehicle — a sports version of the Mercedes-Benz G-Class — with exclusively supplied General Grabber HTS60 tires designed to provide maximum safety both on and off the road, according to the company's press service.
The General Grabber HTS60 is an on/off-road tire designed to guarantee both high cross-country ability and good comfort on asphalt, and the tread pattern is designed to improve handling in various road conditions.
As the manufacturer notes, the HTS60 tires make the vehicle easy to control, including on wet roads, and the rubber compound has been improved to increase the durability of the tires when used in off-road conditions. Additionally, an extra layer is placed under the tread to increase the efficiency of shock absorption on uneven surfaces, and the pattern is optimized to ensure a long service life of the tires.
General will be equipping the Mercedes-AMG G63 with tires in numerous markets around the world, and the approved size is 275/50 R20. The fact that the tires were created with Mercedes' requirements in mind is indicated by the MO1A marking on the sidewalls.
