Maxxis has equipped the new Honda S7 electric crossover with its tires
Maxxis has been chosen as the tire supplier for the new Honda S7 electric crossover, which will be produced in China by the Dongfeng Honda joint venture.
The S7 will be equipped with Maxxis Victra Sport 5H tires, which are an optimized version of the serial Victra Sport 5 model Victra Sport 5. The tires are made using the Full-Touch technology, which, due to the flat and wide profile and the improved tread pattern, increases the contact area with the road, improving the level of grip, while also reducing the deformation of the tread, which reduces energy losses and, consequently, increases the range of the electric vehicle. The manufacturer also notes that the new technologies allow the grooves to maintain their shape, ensuring fast water drainage and guaranteed safety in rainy weather throughout the life of the tires.

Since the absence of engine noise makes the acoustic characteristics of the tires even more important, the Maxxis VS5H tires are made using the Optim-Tech technology, which, with the help of a large data platform, models the optimal arrangement of tread pattern elements, reducing peak noise values and making the tires quieter overall. In addition, the tread pattern with three wide longitudinal ribs is optimized for effective shock absorption and improved ride comfort.
Among other things, the design of the sidewalls uses nanolaser engraving technology, which makes the inscriptions clearly visible from different angles, and the logos have been added with the already used Maxxis elements in the form of a checkered flag, which indicates that the tire is designed for sports cars.

Maxxis collaborates with many automotive manufacturers, both in China and in Europe, and the Taiwanese brand's tires are purchased, for example, by the BMW Group.
