LUKOIL has become a laureate of the "Best ESG Projects in Russia" award, which was presented on June 25 in Moscow as a result of the annual program aimed at identifying the best sustainable development practices in Russian business.

In 2025, the organizing committee considered about 680 applications, and 61 companies received the award. LUKOIL was awarded for the project "Asphalt road surfaces based on active rubber powder obtained by grinding worn-out tires" in the category "Responsible consumption and production. Reducing environmental impact".

Within the framework of the project, large-sized tires that have served their time are recycled into rubber powder, which is the basis of the LUKOIL RKM modifier, improving the operational characteristics of road surfaces, which, as the company says, is confirmed by long-term field tests. Industrial production of the LUKOIL RKM modifier makes it possible to significantly reduce the volume of worn-out tires, the company adds.
