Kumho presented new winter tires
In early February, Kumho invited its European partners to the racing track in Östersund (Sweden), where they were given the opportunity to test the Korean brand's winter tires, including the new studded Kumho WinterCraft WP52+ for regions with mild climates, which will replace the WinterCraft WP52 presented in 2022.
Judging by the available photos, the tread pattern has not been changed, and a new rubber compound has been developed, which has improved handling and braking efficiency on wet pavement. In addition, the tires have been refined taking into account the characteristics of electric vehicles, which is confirmed by the EV-Ready marking, while the TÜV SÜD "quality mark" indicates that the novelty has met the safety standards on wet and dry surfaces.

"In 2025, Kumho Tire intends to actively increase the value of its brand by expanding the supply of tires for the factory equipment of premium cars in the European market, continue to prove the high level of its technologies in tire tests, and implement various marketing initiatives, including within the framework of sponsorship programs in sports," noted Kumho CEO and President Jeon Il-taek.
The head of Kumho's European branch, Lee Kang-sang, added that over the past four years, the company's average annual sales growth in the local market has been 33%, since "consumers who highly value product quality are increasingly opting for Kumho tires".

"Thanks to the excellent quality, our tires consistently receive high ratings in tests by such reputable organizations as the German ADAC and Auto Bild, and we will continue to increase investments in scientific research to create high-quality products that meet the requirements of the European market," he said.
Last year, Kumho's total sales volume was 4.5 trillion won (3.1 billion dollars), which was a record value since the company's founding, and in 2025 it is planned to consolidate Kumho's status as a premium brand.
In Östersund, the presentation guests also tested the studded Kumho WinterCraft ice Wi32 tires in the ice section, which are sold, among other things, in Northern Europe and Russia.
