The first passenger tire is made under the Semes brand
On September 27, the Chinese company Henan Tianji Tyre manufactured the first passenger tire under its Semes brand, which previously produced tires for cargo transportation. The company, founded in 2020, launched the production of passenger car tires in April of this year, and by 2027, it plans to increase the production volume of this category of tires to 20 million units per year.

Tianji notes that during the development of Semes passenger tires, a large-scale market research was conducted, and the company studied the needs and opinions of end-users, and the new product will "not only meet the requirements of drivers in terms of driving qualities but also combine practical benefits with an attractive visual component." The first tire to be released was the Semes SC1 Comfort, whose name indicates the class it belongs to.

The design with curved diagonal grooves was developed, among other things, to improve handling and safety on wet roads, and the manufacturer emphasizes that the tires work optimally on dry pavement as well and are distinguished by improved smoothness and reduced noise.
To make the tires more attractive externally, the rubber "hairs" - the impression formed during production - were eliminated, and in sizes with a rim diameter of 15 inches or more, the inscriptions on the sidewalls are made using a technology that gives them a "velvet effect".

"In the future, Tianji Tyre will continue to meet the needs of the market and constantly open up new horizons, as well as release innovative products that combine external attractiveness and efficiency, contributing to the development of the tire industry," the company emphasizes.
The Tianji plant is located in the Jiaozuo City district (Henan Province), and tires are produced under the Semes and GFT Rider brands.
