Ikon Tyres releases new summer light truck tire

At the beginning of 2026, Ikon Tyres will introduce to the market the first light truck tire of the mid-range segment of its own design, which became Ikon Character Eco C2, designed for use in the summer season.

According to the manufacturer, the main advantages of the novelty are such parameters as reliability, wear resistance, and fuel efficiency, and, for example, a special composition of the rubber mixture increased the resistance to punctures, cuts, and other mechanical damages, which allows the tires to last longer, including when operating in difficult conditions.

Ikon Character Eco C2 also received a new tread pattern with an optimized combination of wide channels and lamellas, designed, among other things, for quick water dispersal, while additional reinforcing elements in the central zone increase the transverse stiffness of the tread, improving directional stability and handling in turns.

Since strength plays a special role in the light truck segment, Character Eco C2 is equipped with a reinforced design that allows it to withstand constant increased loads, and besides, Ikon says that the tire longer maintains the optimal level of pressure, which has a positive effect on fuel savings.

The new Ikon is planned to be released in 11 sizes from 155R13C to 235/65 R16C.
