Hankook releases new heavy-duty truck tires with enhanced durability

Hankook starts sales of new truck tires Hankook SmartWork AM11+, designed for local and regional transportation. The premiere of the tires took place in June this year at the Transport Expo exhibition in Warwickshire (England), and in September, the novelty will enter the British market. 

The company notes that SmartWork AM11+ is created specifically for operation in a mode with frequent starts and stops, as well as for areas of application with increased requirements for strength, for example, for the waste disposal sphere, where tires regularly come into contact with curbs. 

As key features of SmartWork AM11+, an enhanced sidewall is cited, which has been improved to reduce wear, and special wear indicators. The optimized construction of the sidewalls provides protection when contacting curbs and simplifies the inspection for signs of wear, and three indicators on the sidewalls allow for a quick assessment of their degree of wear, which increases the level of safety during daily use. The tread pattern with zigzag grooves and stone ejectors was borrowed from the SmartWork AM11 model, presented in 2018. 

Hankook SmartWork AM11+ will be available in size 315/80 R22.5.
