Guizhou Tyre has mastered a new size of ultra-large tires

On December 18, Guizhou Tyre first manufactured a super-large off-the-road (OTR) tire in the new size 53/80 R63 at its Chinese plant. The tire was independently developed by the company, and the mastery of the new OTR tire size is not only another technological breakthrough for the Chinese manufacturer but also gives an additional impetus to its development.

The new tire, with an outer diameter of 3.8 meters and a weight of 4838.7 kg, is specifically designed for heavy equipment used in the mining and construction industries, and Guizhou Tyre emphasizes that due to its excellent strength and high load-carrying capacity, the new product is optimally suited for these areas of application and will also help the company strengthen its position in the OTR tire market both in China and abroad.

Guizhou Tyre adds that the production of OTR tires has always been an extremely complex technological task, and there are not many companies in the world that can produce 63-inch diameter tires. At the same time, the Chinese market for tires in this category has huge potential due to demand from major mining companies.

In June 2024, Guizhou Tyre released its first 46/90 R57 tire, and the company says that the development team is constantly working on new tasks, and when manufacturing the 63-inch tire, each component was repeatedly tested to ensure the high quality and reliability of the product.

The release of the 53/80 R63 tire is not only a historic moment but also a new starting point for our future development, the company says, adding that it intends to continue increasing its market share and become a leader in the OTR tire segment.

According to the results of 2023, Guizhou Tyre ranked 25th in the rating of the world's largest tire manufacturers.
