Giti received a three-star rating from the FIA

At the NCAP25 World Congress in Shanghai, it was announced that the International Automobile Federation (FIA) had awarded the tire company Giti Tire the highest three-star rating in the Road Safety Index for its achievements in this area as part of its activities in China.

The Index, created with the support of the FIA Foundation, the federation's charitable division, is designed to provide companies around the world with a structured methodology for assessing and improving their impact on road safety. According to the FIA, Giti's rating confirms that the tire manufacturer pays increased attention to this area, and its "policies and procedures fully meet international best practices and include effective accountability mechanisms, including requirements for logistics service providers to notify the company's relevant department of fatal or other serious road accidents within 48 hours".

Giti notes that the company has taken the initiative to implement the FIA Index methodology, which has provided valuable information that "has helped refine the company's internal policies and improve its key performance indicators in the field of improving driver safety and supply chain control". The results obtained by Giti are intended to be used to gradually introduce proven methods beyond China, including in Indonesia, Singapore, and Europe, "creating a unified approach to road safety that meets the highest standards".

"I congratulate Giti Tire on receiving the highest three-star rating in the FIA Road Safety Index," said FIA President Mohammed Ben Sulayem. "Its award reflects the company's firm commitment to improving its practices based on data analysis and continuous learning. By incorporating road safety enhancement principles into its activities, Giti Tire is contributing to raising industry standards and protecting lives on the roads."

FIA Secretary General for Automobile Mobility and Sustainable Development Willem Gruyeveld added that "one of the most important messages of the NCAP25 conference is that vehicle safety is now more important than ever". "Giti Tire's achievements demonstrate how the FIA Road Safety Index can serve as a catalyst for companies to improve their policies in this area," he noted.

According to Giti's Director of Sustainable Development, Pan Chun Hau, "the company is proud to be the first tire manufacturer to join the FIA Road Safety Index".

"Our employees are both advocates and beneficiaries of our road safety work, while our customers, fleet partners, and millions of vehicle owners benefit from the use of tires with increased efficiency," he said. "With the help of the FIA platform, we are raising awareness of road safety among employees and logistics companies, introducing world-class best practices, and continuously improving our procedures. This applies to our entire production and supply chain, which highlights Giti's commitment to social responsibility, customer well-being, and sustainable development."

The NCAP25 Congress was dedicated to issues of vehicle safety, and Giti acted as the moderator of the "Global Fleet Safety" session.
